HKDI : “This City . This People "Sound, Motion, Gig, Sight" Content: A group of students from the department of Digital Music and Media of the Hong Kong Design Institute will exhibit their creativity and artistic talent by using the “Sound, Motion, Gig and Sight” to express their feelings towards “This City, This People” in Hong Kong; they will transform the “Black Box Theatre” into a creative space brimming with live music and interactive media.

DIY Movie selection Content: Hong Kong Cultural scholars Dr. Ng Chun Hung and Dr. Chin Wan visited four traditional handicraft shops: Lam Kee Metal, Cheung Kee Iron Tools, Bo Wah Effigies and Lai Sau Hin. Under the camera, the declining handicrafts, the wisdom and the skills of these masters are recorded.

JCCAC Workshop

Chow Man Keung Workshop Content: Master Chow Man Keung will demonstrate how baggy pottery can be created in a distinctive manner.

Fung Tak Man Workshop Content: Master Fung Tak Man will introduce Chinese calligraphy through regular script, catering to the different needs from participants of different levels. Participants should bring their own brushes, ink and paper.

Lam Pei Workshop Content: Lam Pei will use disposed papers and iron wires for creation, which are ubiquitous and environmentally-friendly. Participants can learn from the demonstration how iron wires can be used for shaping the papier-mache for further creation.

Ceci Liu Workshop – 3D photo making Content: Photos displaying community life, special features and cultures are presented in a fascinating but simple way through 3-dimensional paper artworks. Participants can accomplish a simple 3-dimensional photo artwork during the workshop.

HK Open Printshop – Let’s Make Some Print Content: Although relief painting is the easiest to learn, there can still be an incredible amount of variety. By using a thin paper, rolling on the ink and then using the engraving machine to print, we can keep the most detailed pattern of things on paper; its resolution is as good as the digital photo.

Canton Pop Lyric Writing – Artist
Ivan Hui
(Total at 4 sessions)
Content: Famous lyricist Ivan Hui will interpret classic pop song lyrics, share how he balances between art and commerce, and discuss his use of words to outline his outlook of Hong Kong. Candidates will have the opportunity to sing and talk, use old songs to practice lyrics writing, express their opinions about our social development and local culture.

Sham Shui Po Cultural Tour

iTour and Cultural Tour In Sham Shui Po iTour, attendees will be provided tablet computer by The Jockey Club H.A.D. walk project. During the tour, visitors will receive more comprehensive information, including architectural and street history, old photos, old shop superstitions, games and many other interesting facts. The cultural tours will have two kinds (one with tablet computers and one without tablet computers). The iTour will be charged at $30 per person and the cultural tour will be charged at $20 per person. There will also be cultural tour specially organized for tourists that will be charged at $100 per person. This tour will be given primarily in two languages, Mandarin Chinese and English.



Except for the Sham Shui Po Tour, there will be no admission fee for all of our activities.
