The Look of Hong Kong Homes & Households in 40 Years Exhibition
Co-presenter: HULU Culture
This exhibition focuses on the design of local homes and households. Through exhibits, photos, interviews and research analysis, the exhibition reviews the local home design styles from the past 40 years to the present day. The visitors may view a hundred locally manufactured chairs which are collections from local collectors. They may also have a glimpse at the designs of public estate flat, cubicle and middle-class apartments in this exhibition. Some multi-media exhibits enable the visitors to examine the unique designs and evolutions of local households and furniture from a new point of view. It is hoped that the exhibition will enhance the public’s sensitivity towards urban design in Hong Kong, bringing about more creativity, and thereby constructing a lifestyle with more artistic merit and quality.
