City and Nature
By using the visual elements of Yau Ma Tei’s urban environment, the community’s unique colour and spirit are shown. It is crowded but diverse, lively and energetic. Three different topics including architecture, shop signs in the street and daily tools are presented by the traditional lantern concept. Ink painting, which shows people’s imagination towards nature, is put together with photographic images of Yau Ma Tei to contrast and to integrate.
